2017 Foliage Update
	Current stage: Done. First (scattered) frost was on Oct 17 and less so on Oct 18. OBSERVATIONS AND OUTLOOK: WEEKEND OF 11/17-18: The season's about done. We'll hope for better next year. WEEKEND OF 11/11-12: Leaves rained down in the cold this week. Look for isolated spots of color and sunrise/set on hills. WEEKEND OF 11/4-5: Look for isolated spots of color and sunrise/set on hills. WEEKEND OF 10/28-29: How do you go from early to late in one week? By having a rain and wind storm remove a substantial fraction of the leaves. Those that remain are showing dull to ok color so far. But there are always bright spots to find. WEEKEND OF 10/21-22: It's still very early, but with the first frost on 10/17 color should be increasing. WEEKEND OF 10/13-14: Warm weather; not much going on.
